Dogs for the Disabled

Dogs for the Disabled trains dogs to help disabled people live life more independently. The dogs are trained in practical tasks such as opening and closing doors, helping a person undress, even taking the laundry out of the washing machine.

Dogs for the Disabled is our chosen charity for 2007.  Thanks to staff fundraising efforts at the beginning of the year, we purchased a puppy for the charity. Monty was nine weeks old when he went to his puppy socialiser. Over the following 12 months he will learn to enjoy daily grooming, walking on a lead and going out and about so that he can lbecome a confident, happy and sociable. Fundraising continues.
